WoW Project

The WoW Project aims to address a central challenge of current migration waves: The integration of women with Muslim migration background with or without the headscarf in the German employment sector. By empowering women through employment, WoW aspires to promote tolerance, respect, and equality in the work place, and to increase the number of Muslim women in the German labor market.

The project was supported by the UNHATE Foundation and was selected as one of the ten winners of the Global Diversity Contest sponsored by the UNHATE Foundation and United Nations Academic Impact. The Contest invited young adults who are currently students or junior faculty at universities (between 18 and 30 years of age) to devise their own proposals for ending any form of intolerance.

WoW runs as a pilot project in 2016 in Stuttgart, Germany.
